Key Whereabouts and Doping Information:
The purpose of this section is to help athletes understand how to meet the IWF Whereabouts requirements to compete internationally. Failure to adequately update Whereabouts before the deadline could result in the athlete being unable to compete at qualifying competitions.
According to the IWF Anti-Doping rules:
5.5.16 The Member Federations shall submit to IWF the list of Athletes set to participate in IWF Events, including the following whereabouts information: (a) home address and (b) training location received from each Athlete. Such whereabouts information shall be provided by the Member Federations to IWF no later than three months prior to each IWF Event. IWF their whereabouts information, as set out in art. 5.5.16 of the 2024 IWF Anti-Doping Rules, including the following whereabouts information: home address and training location.
To set-up your ADAMs account:
The athletes must maintain their Whereabouts for the required 3 months leading up to the IWF competition. Athletes are not required to continue updating their Whereabouts following the competition unless their next IWF competition is again within 3 months. The CCES response time is generally a few days so last minute requests are sometimes not able to be fulfilled. The IWF is strict and will not make exceptions so it is important to reach out proactively.
